scholarships
UCLA Alumni Scholarships open doors for outstanding students, recognizing academic excellence, leadership, and a drive to create change. These scholarships go beyond financial support: they spark lifelong connections, fuel personal growth, and strengthen our Bruin community.
“I give because someone once believed in me and now I get to do the same. Supporting scholarships is my way of helping to keep the Bruin story going.”

More than a Scholarship. A Bruin Experience.
All alumni scholarship recipients become members of the Alumni Scholars Club (ASC), a vibrant community that connects students with alumni mentors, professional development opportunities, and a lifelong Bruin support system.
Benefits of the UCLA Alumni Scholarship:
- Merit-based awards
- Freshmen: $6,000–$20,000 over 4 years
- Transfer students: $6,000 over 2 years
- Alumni mentoring and career guidance
- Leadership development programming
- Exclusive events and networking opportunities
Need-based grants may also be available to students with demonstrated financial need, as determined by UCLA Financial Aid and the Alumni Scholarships Program.
Only one application is needed to be considered for all available Alumni Scholarships. Applications open in October and close in early March.
