Volunteering

ULAA’s Volunteer Program brings together students, alumni, and community members committed to uplifting Latino Bruin achievement and strengthening a vibrant, evolving community. Volunteers play a vital role in expanding ULAA’s impact, building meaningful connections, developing leadership skills, and creating opportunities that support future generations of Latino Bruins.

Volunteer Opportunities Within ULAA Committees

Alumni Engagement Committee – Builds community by organizing events and initiatives that connect Latino alumni online and in person.

Student Success Committee – Supports Latino students through mentorship and campus resources and oversees engagement with ULAA scholarship recipients.

Fundraising Committee – Leads fundraising efforts to support scholarships and ULAA programs.

Marketing Committee – Manages ULAA communications, including social media, newsletters, website updates, and design assets.

OrgullOSO Mentorship Program

Established in 2016, the UCLA Latino Alumni Association OrgullOSO Mentorship Program fosters meaningful relationships between ULAA scholarship recipients and Latino alumni. The program has benefited both students and mentors and was expanded in 2020 to include all UCLA undergraduate and graduate students who identify as Latino, Latina, or Latinx.

The mentorship program is hosted on the UCLA ONE platform. To participate, you must create a UCLA ONE profile no later than September 30, 2025. Participants are encouraged to complete their profiles thoroughly, including all drop-down questions, to support effective mentor and mentee matching.

Creating a UCLA ONE profile does not obligate you to participate in the mentorship program. Even if you choose not to participate, a UCLA ONE profile provides access to additional alumni and career resources.

Joining the Program

If you are interested in participating in the 2025–2026 OrgullOSO Mentorship Program (October 2025 through April 2026), please complete the short application by September 30, 2025. A UCLA ONE account is required to apply.

Please note that the program is limited to a maximum of 75 matches, and placement cannot be guaranteed. Participants who are matched will be notified by email in October 2025.

If you do not yet have a UCLA ONE profile, visit www.uclaone.com, select “Join Now,” and then “Sign Up.” Questions about UCLA ONE may be directed to ace@support.ucla.edu.
